poems anyone???

i was just going through the blogs of some of my college-mates when i was surprised to realize that 75% of the bloggers from my institute were from the fairer sex! a further survey revealed that 90% of their blogs consisted of poems.

"Poems everybody..i am glad the lad here is making himself a poet!!"...he he he..sorry.cudn't resist!(for all those who could not understand..please watch the video of 'another brick on the wall - pink floyd')

i decided to take my survey a bit further and was astonished to find that all the girls in blogosphere had atleast 2 poems in their main page! So why do they post poems in their blogs?is it to show their superior intelligence over the mortal ones? or is it that they could not express their feeling in the usual,non-creative way in a not-needing-four-lines-to-complete-a-sentence format?

while most of them revolve around things related to the heart..a full circle right from their parents to their love..,to the dark side of themselves..revealing confessions of wanting to commit homicide..or suicide..,to hjourneys far and wide..to the innermost part of the earth..the girls have'seen it and conqored it all'

sometimes i wonder...the words in these poems might be a sort of a portal for the ladies to express their innermost desires.girls normally are not accustomed to shout out or fight or reveal their desires in the same way as we guys can...so they have to put it in a tinned can..spray it with lavender-perfume and then publish it in the form of words..so that the lesser mortals may take their time understanding and appreciating the 'between the lines' stuff...

it is all the more interesting to see that most of the postings are in the third person format...they don't say directly that the poem is about themselves..or that the following incident happened in their own lives..all they do is invent a "she" and then this 'she' of theirs is experimented upon in all the ways possible..right from the mushy-mushy love, the heart-wrenching separation from her love,to horrifying nightmares and suicide and murder attempts. is it because ladies are afraid of people knowing what their tru life and identity is?..or is it beause they can't see themselves in the mirror for who they are....this,my friend,is anybody's guess.

t
hink over it....as for the answers..as the ladies say..."read between the lines baby..."
