Sitting in the workshop of Rashmi Bansal, doing nothing but watching lesser mortals type down what they did when they woke up how at what time they brushed, can make u a bit frustrated at the fact that this was a workshop for 'Bloggers', for god's sake!
So, here's how i Passed my time in the workshop, Writing about the Host herself, Madam Rashmi Bansal :
Rashmi Bansal: The first time u read her blog, u will be amazed by the simplicity of the blog and how words can be woven so simplistically so as to make a precise opinion about anything.
I got to watch her and well..had a short conversation with her. An here's what i could make out of her :
She is someone who was supposed to be a next-door gril but fate porpelled her into stardom, in a sense. And, the way i loomat it, she still thinks luck and God have been a very important part of her life.
She went to a proper English Medium School and was one of the girl-next-door type of a student. She was never out of the ordinary, till I guess, the time she reached 10th. She was one of the Good Students and was most probably involved in Literay Events from about 6th or 7th.
She did her college from somewhere good (Don't know where though) and those 4-5 years in college changed her life completely. Knowingly or Unknowingly, She got to pick up a lot from her Alma-Mater, a thing which she still acknowledges, and having a vision and going on to do it has never been a problem for her.
She was, and still is, never interested in fame. She lives her own life in her own right, not caring what others thing what they think about her. The way I look at it, she never took journalism as a profession as a "profession", but just because she likes having her point of view.
About her family, according to me, She has had a very open Family, open to all types of thoughts, and her parents always wanted her to handle her own problems, A thing which She, according to me, still tells her children to do. A very proud person from the very start, She was more interested in extra-academic Activities. According to me, She was more interested in music than movies. I still think that her choice of movies which some of the people (like me) will not agree to, but well...atleast she can write about the things that matter.

All I can say such live and on-the-fly postings demand more attention. Liked the composition.

Hey there
Well, I noticed a very Arundhati Roy style of erm.. grammar..? in there :D hehe Why 'She' at some places and 'she' at others? why the frequent use of capitals? I mean, it was a lot more frequent than what one would normally conceive to be a typo and I couldn't really get the motive. That is why I ask! hee
Think abt it lady..think abt it..it has a motive, yes..and am glad someone noticed it..
:)
gud job..on the way to journalism???
'coz i remember a funny thing about this post..i sowed this post to Rashmi Bansal, and the only thing wrong she could point out in this post was me writing 'gril' instead of 'girl' at one place...and well..the whole point of hers was 'since she is into journalism, the frst thing she notices is spelling mistakes'...so i guess the same goes with u 2??.. :P
